Contemplative Art Retreat: Exploring Spiritual Symbols
Leader: Suzanne Frazier, BFA
Cost: $190, including $50 deposit
Through the ages, five universal spiritual symbols have been used in many cultures. During this retreat, you will explore these symbols and discover which ones have special meaning for you. Expressing your relationship to spiritual symbols through contemplative drawing provides a way to look at your spiritual journey in a non-linear, non-verbal, and spontaneous way.
Participants with no art-making experience will have the opportunity to discover their creativity in a safe, supportive environment. For experienced artists, the retreat will expand their creative experience to include a meditative approach to their personal expression.
Suzanne Frazier has been teaching art workshops at the Abbey since 1996. She has a BFA in studio arts and a BA in philosophy.
